Computer Assisted Testing Service and HZ Assessments Announce Agreement to Offer Full-Service Computer-Based Testing
Computer Assisted Testing Service (CATS) and HZ Assessments (HZA) are pleased to announce
an agreement to collaborate in the delivery of computer-based tests, test development,
and related psychometric services. CATS is located in Burlingame, California
(San Francisco area) and HZA is located in Folsom, California (Sacramento area).
Under the terms of the agreement, CATS will schedule, administer, and score
computer-based tests and promote the use of technology in practice analysis,
test development, and test administration. HZA will use advances in technology and
proven methods to provide psychometric and technical expertise in practice analysis,
item development, test publishing, standard setting, and statistical analysis.
CATS has a proven track record (over 400 sites under management) at setting up test
facilities, complete with trained proctors and supervisors. CATS is committed
to increasing testing area coverage to ensure that candidates can find quality testing
centers with strict security controls nearby. CATS has the technology expertise and
staff capacity to expand its business base to include new services and ventures.
HZA has extensive experience in validating high-stakes examination programs for many
professions. HZA has participated in developing and evaluating examination programs for
a single state, for multiple states and nation-wide. HZA is skilled in using subject
matter expertise for practice analysis, item development, test publishing, and cut score
studies. HZA has conducted psychometric audits for national and international examination
programs. HZA is very aware of the consequences of the outcomes of examination programs
and applies high standards to ensure that all aspects of examination programs are fair
to the candidates and supports the purpose of the examination program.
